MySolar Roof rooftiles are the same as a slate roof tiles, but made of tempered glass with built in solarpanels. Tempered glass is incredibly durable and significantly stronger than normal roof tiles. There is a 40 year guarantee on the roof. Life expectancy of the roof is 80 years. This has been tested by the Danish Institute of Technology.
The roofing tiles are available both with and without built-in solar cells. This ensures that the roof can be designed with exactly the Watt-peak (solar cell performance) that makes sense for the property’s consumption. There is no visible difference between the roofing tiles with and without solar cells. The active roofing sheets are easily and invisibly connected at the back towards the roof and then to an inverter that converts the direct voltage from the sheets into alternating current to the property.
